Meet Andrew!
Hey guys,
I’m glad you’ve found your way to my website so allow me to tell you a little bit about myself. I’m a counselor and consultant that brings evidence‑based practices and grounded, conversational work together in a way that helps people turn lived experiences into lasting wisdom. A. King Counseling & Consultation was built on the belief that every story carries meaning—and that therapy can provide the structure needed to understand those experiences, identify patterns, and create change that holds up in real life. My approach emphasizes clarity, healthy boundaries, and practical strategies delivered through honest conversations and challenging ideas that allows insight into ourselves. Whether supporting individuals, couples, families, or guiding organizations through communication and culture-building, I do my best to offer a steady presence along with clinically informed guidance designed to help clients move toward stability, resilience, and meaningful growth long after the session ends.
Born and raised in Harrisburg, PA, I bring a blend of lived experience, military service, and clinical training to my work as a counselor and consultant. While serving in and completing a 20‑year career in the PA Air National Guard with multiple deployments, I’ve also spent more than a decade in professional kitchens. This was before returning to school to earn my master’s degree in Counseling with a focus on marriage and family. I’ve been married nearly twenty years and I’m a father, and I strive to approach therapy and consultation with the same steadiness, practicality, and clarity that have shaped every chapter of my life. My work is grounded in a deep respect for the resilience people carry—often long before they recognize it in themselves.
I’m a life long Philadelphia sports fan (Go Birds!) and I’m always open to telling or hearing a good dad joke when appropriate.
